2014 Jung Foundation/IAKL Public Interest Scholarship
The Charles Jung & Melita Sun Jung Foundation (Jung Foundation) and the International Association of Korean Lawyers (IAKL) are happy to co-sponsor a public interest attorney scholarship to the 2014 IAKL Annual Conference in New York City. The Conference will be held at the Hudson Hotel from October 2-5. The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage public interest attorneys (or law students committed to public interest work) to participate in IAKL.
The scholarship recipient will receive the following: (1) Hotel: the Jung Foundation will reimburse the cost of a 3-night hotel stay at the Hudson Hotel; (2) Flight: the Jung Foundation will purchase for the recipient a round trip domestic ticket on Southwest Airlines; (3) Registration Fee: IAKL will waive the conference registration fee.
All public interest attorneys are encouraged to apply. The application deadline is September 2, 2014.

The purpose of this one-day conference is to advance the capacity of immigrant assistance provider organizations in New York that serve clients in an efficient, effective and coordinated manner. The conference will bring members of the Immigration community together to share their best practices and learn from current and prior experiences in immigration assistance efforts like DACA, as well as other mass assistance efforts like those following Hurricane Sandy and 9/11.
The registration fee of $55 covers admission to the conference. Admission includes a light breakfast, lunch, and an invitation to a cocktail reception following the final panel.
