NYSCDM Divorce Mediation Training Discount [CLEs Available]

The New York State Council on Divorce Mediation (NYSCDM) is offering a sale with a $150 discount through June 21, 2026 on their NYSCDM 60-Hour Divorce Mediation Training.

The training program includes the following:

  • Live Classes for the Summer Cohort Starting on July 13, 2026
  • Part-146 Approved for 40 Hours
  • 40 CLEs Provided to Attorneys
  • Free One-Year Membership in NYSCDM 
  • Free One-Year Participation in a Special Peer Group for NYSCDM Program Graduates

  • An experienced family and divorce mediator, author, trainer and Past President of NYSCDM. 
  • A partner at Roytberg Traum Law and Mediation, P.C. and works with NY, interstate, and international families.
  • Frequent mediation and ADR trainer mediation for professional organizations, bar associations, and educational institutions.
  • Co-author of the ABA book: Effectively Representing Clients in Family Mediation (coauthored with Forrest S. Mosten and Hon. Elizabeth Potter Scully) and her second book, coauthored with Forrest S. Mosten, is Family Lawyer as Peacemaker.

NYSCDM’s Summer 2026 Live Mediation Skills Training (Part 2), via Zoom, will be:

7/13 – 9:30am-3:30pm (half hour lunch, 12:15-12:45)

7/14 – 9:30am-3:30pm (half hour lunch, 12:15-12:45)

7/15 – 9:30am-3:30pm (half hour lunch, 12:15-12:45)

7/16 – 9:30am-3:30pm (half hour lunch, 12:15-12:45)

7/27 – 9:30am-3:30pm (half hour lunch, 12:15-12:45)

7/28 – 9:00am-3:30pm (WORKING LUNCH) – ROLE PLAY DAY

7/29 – 9:30am-3:30pm (half hour lunch, 12:15-12:45)

7/30 – 9:30am-3:00pm (half hour lunch, 12:15-12:45)

Also includes morning mini breaks and afternoon mini breaks.

Announcement: Summer 2026 Federal Judicial Internship with Hon. Dora L. Irizarry

The Honorable Dora L. Irizarry, U.S. District Judge for the Eastern District of New York, is accepting applications for Summer 2026 internships.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a rising second or third year law student.
  • Must have good grades.
  • Must have good research, writing, and analytical skills, although participation in Law Review or a Journal is not a prerequisite.
  • Military and/or other life/career experience is a plus.

    Interested law students should forward their application package in PDF format as a single document via email to irizarry_chambers@nyed.uscourts.gov.

Application package must include:

  • One-page cover letter briefly describing why you are interested in a legal career and why you are interested in an internship with Judge Irizarry specifically.
  • Resume.
  • Official law school transcript.
  • One recent writing sample no longer than 10 pages, double spaced. Journal or research articles will not be accepted.
  • Two to three letters of recommendation.

The deadline for receipt of materials is February 27, 2026.

Please note that, while these are not paid internships, the Judge will participate in any appropriate sponsored program that provides academic credit or stipends for interns.

2026 NAPABA Judicial Council Summer Internships
Deadline to Apply: January 15, 2026

We are pleased to announce that the NAPABA Judicial Council is offering three prestigious summer internship opportunities with distinguished federal judges for Summer 2026. Each selected intern will also receive a $1,500 scholarship stipend to support their experience.

These internships provide invaluable exposure to federal judicial work, insights into the court system, and the opportunity to learn directly from leaders in the judiciary. Each full-time internship will last approximately 4-10 weeks, with dates and times to be arranged between each intern and judge.
