On February 11, the Women’s Committee and the Membership Committee co-hosted a Lunar New Year Celebration and Shopping Event at Bloomingdale’s on 59th Street. Members and guests were treated to passed hors d’oeuvres, sparkling water, and white wine. Makeup artists from Lancome were on hand for any ladies who wanted to freshen their makeup. A fashion show displaying the latest corporate looks and evening wear dazzled the attendees. After that, our members and guests got to sit down for a private group consultation with one of the stylists in the personal shopping department. Those who received the stylist’s advice seemed inspired to shop. We certainly hope they did because a portion the proceeds from their purchases would go to support the work of the Asian American Law Fund of New York, the 501( c )(3) affiliate of AABANY.
