On February 8, the Young Lawyers Committee (YLC) co-sponsored an event at Fat Buddha in the East Village with Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of New York City to learn more about opportunities for Asian American young lawyers to be a role model for Asian American children living in New York. There were many enthusiastic attendees. Some lawyers even came out all the way from the Bronx and New Jersey and some brought their non-lawyer friends to join too. Volunteers and Staff from BBBS were more than happy to share their experiences and how they got involved while everyone feasted on delicious Asian fusion snacks in a hip venue. We look forward to hosting more events with BBBS to provide young lawyers opportunities to be a role model and to make an impact in the Asian community.
