On April 20, AABANY’s Vice Presidents of Programs and Operations, Naf Kwun and Jeff Ikejiri, led an Orientation Meeting at BakerHostetler for returning and new Committee Co-Chairs. Naf and Jeff reviewed basic information that Committee Chairs need to know to run their committees effectively and to plan and organize events and programs for AABANY. Some returning co-chairs, such as Amanda Bernardo of the Immigration and Nationality Law Committee, Sam Lui of the Pro Bono and Community Service Committee, Karen Shen of the Women’s Committee and Bryan An of the Judiciary Committee shared some tips and best practices from their experience in committee leadership.

Following the Orientation Meeting, returning, new and past Committee Chairs got together for a Committee Chairs’ Reception at NYY Steakhouse to get to know or reconnect with each other over food and drinks.
