This Sunday, October 1, a film festival presented by CACAGNY will feature the documentary, “Abacus: Small Enough to Jail.” The film tells the incredible saga of the Chinese immigrant Sung family, owners of Abacus Federal Savings of Chinatown, NY. Accused of mortgage fraud, Abacus becomes the only U.S. bank to face criminal charges in the wake of the 2008 financial crisis. The festival is taking place at 21 Pell Street, New York, NY during the whole weekend and “Abacus: Small Enough to Jail” will start at 3 pm. Chris Kwok, AABANY Issues Committee Co-Chair, will be moderating the post-screening discussion with Don Lee, Vera Sung, Chantarelle Sung, and Jill Sung.
