Join AABANY and KALAGNY at 33rd Annual AAPI Heritage Festival

AABANY and KALAGNY have once again teamed up to take a table at the Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Festival. This year is the 33rd annual, and it takes place at DUMBO in Brooklyn on Saturday, May 12, from 11 am to 5 pm. Come out and join us to celebrate APA Heritage Month with performances, food, and cultural and community groups. It’s family friendly so bring the kids, invite your friends – the more, the merrier. Brooklyn-based Internship Opportunity for College Students

Our friends at the PRBA alerted us to this internship opportunity for college students interested in civic leadership and community organizing:

The Hope Reichbach Memorial Fund provides scholarships for students from NYC who take internships in civic leadership and community organizing. We will continue Hope’s legacy of progressive values and passion for Brooklyn in the following ways:

– Provide stipends to dedicated college students who embody the values Hope stood for

– Facilitate internships with Brooklyn organizations involved in local issues and activism

– Provide mentorship and a network of contacts to our students; enhancing their career development

– Create a new generation of leaders in Brooklyn

We are currently seeking interns for our inaugural summer! We will be providing $3,000 scholarships for students, based in NYC, who will be interning this summer!
