Congratulations to Donna Chiu, AABANY Member and attorney at Asian Americans for Equality, on her recent honor from the New York City Bar Association. One of five recipients, Donna was honored at the City Bar’s 27th Annual Legal Services Awards recognizing those who provide full-time outstanding civil legal assistance to New York’s poor.

Fiske, Jr., A Life of Public and Private Service to the Law on Monday, July 27 at 5:30 PM at the NYC Bar Association. During the program you’ll learn about the career of a true role-model attorney who lives a life of public service and private practice. Bob Fiske will challenge you to follow your goals and take risks with your career. You will find it thought-provoking, relevant and inspirational. A reception follows the program where you’ll have the opportunity to network with Robert Fiske, your peers in the public and private sectors, some of our Board of Trustees, and other invited guests.

Congratulations to AABANY Member and accomplished attorney Kathy Hirata Chin, who has been named one of the New York City Bar Association’s 2015 Diversity & Inclusion Champion Award Winners! The award recognizes the critical role individual attorneys have played in initiating and sustaining change within their organizations and the overall New York legal community. The award recipients embody the New York City Bar’s Statement of Diversity Principles, which defines diversity as an inclusive concept, encompassing race, color, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, religion, nationality, age, disability and marital and parental status.
