On Thursday, Nov. 14, Rutgers School of Law-Newark APALSA celebrated its 12th Annual Mela. Mela is a Sanskrit word meaning “gathering” and Rutgers APALSA holds the Mela as a way to celebrate Asian cultures and honor Asian American achievements in the legal community.
The honorees at this year’s Mela included Linda Wong, CEO and Founding Partner of Wong Fleming, and James Yu, Partner at Seyfarth Shaw and AABANY’s VP of Programs and Operations. Receiving the Outstanding Young Alumni Award was Jennifer Suh, Secretary of APALA-NJ.
