On May 28, Jane Chuang (Partner at Lee Anav Chung White & Kim LLP) and Charles Chen (Assistant General Counsel at HICKIES Inc.) led “Copyright Registration: Part V of a the IP Skills Workshop Series.” Participants learned the nuances of registering a work for copyright protection. Using the imaginary FLIPKICK as a hypothetical client, Jane and Charles covered the nuances of protecting its intellectual property against competitors. They covered everything from the litigation benefits, relative cost and speed, and scope of protection to anatomy of copyright registration. The event was attended by over 20 people and 1 CLE Credit in Skills was granted. Thank you to all who made this productive and informative CLE possible: AABANY’s IP Committee Co-Chairs Stacy Wu and Jenny Lee, Panelists Jane Chuang and Charles Chen, host Bingham McCutchen LLP (courtesy of Thomas Hou), and all attendees.
