On June 24th Brian P. Sandvidge (partner at Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP) and Edward Farrell (Partner at Tarter, Krinsky & Drogin, LLP) led a CLE program on “Emerging Trends in Fraud and Forensics.” Participants learned the ins and outs of fraud, why people commit fraud, how prevalent fraud is in the workplace, the different types of fraud and how to spot it followed by what to do once they uncover fraud. Brian Sandvidge and Edward Farrell stressed the ethical obligation attorneys have to report fraud as soon as they uncover it, both to protect the parties involved and themselves. The event was attended by over 17 people and 1 CLE Credit in ethics was granted. Thank you to all who made this productive and informative CLE possible: moderators, speakers, and all attendees.
