On April 30, 2015, AABANY co-sponsored SABANY’s Nepal Earthquake Relief Fundraiser with many other organizations including MuBANY, SABA-NJ, NetIP, SAJA and others. The fundraiser was held at Pranna NYC to support the relief efforts of the devastating earthquake that left thousands dead and injured and countless lives uprooted throughout South Asia. 

SABANY’s response drew over 125 people to the event and raised a substantial amount towards improving conditions through Adhikaar, a Jackson Heights based organization on improving the lives of the Nepali speaking community in NYC. Adhikaar has been spearheading relief and recovery efforts in Nepal. AABANY was more than happy to support their efforts.
