On October 27, AABANY’s Pro Bono & Community Service and Government Service & Public Interest Committees teamed up for a mixer at Singl Lounge to spread the word about their upcoming pro bono projects. The mixer drew from all different sectors and all different levels of attorneys. If you didn’t get the chance to make it out, AABANY is offering four different opportunities to give back:
- Immigration: represent domestic violence survivors or childhood arrivals
- Housing: assist low-income tenants with rent and repair issues during one-day clinics
- Education: represent students in suspension hearings
- General: provide legal counseling or administrative assistance at an AABANY Pro Bono Clinic in Chinatown
For those who would be interested in joining AABANY’s pro bono efforts, you can learn all about them and sign up for more information by clicking here.
Thank you to the PBSC Co-Chairs Vina Ha, Samuel Lui, and June Lee and GSPI Co-Chairs Karen Yau, Anita Wu, and Chai Park for organizing this great opportunity to catch up. Thank you to Singl for hosting us. Finally, thanks to everyone who made it out.
