On April 11, the Muslim Bar Association of New York organized a Career Q&A with AUSAs from the Southern District of New York at BakerHostetler, co-sponsored by AABANY, the Nigerian Lawyers Association, Federal Bar Association, MBBA, SABANY, and HNBA. The speakers included:
- Joon Kim, Deputy U.S. Attorney
- Neil M. Corwin, Executive Assistant United States Attorney
- Arastu Chaudhury, Civil Division
- Rebecca Tinio, Civil Division
- Sagar Ravi, Criminal Division
- Eun Young Choi, Criminal Division
For so many, being an AUSA is the dream job. The panelists dispelled some common misconceptions and illuminated the application process. The overriding theme of the evening was do not count yourself out and apply anyway. Thank you to all those that made the evening possible.

Joon Kim: We [U.S Attorneys] represent the government, and we need to represent what the country looks like.
— AABANY (@aabany)
Neil M. Corwin: We don’t want people who might be the best and the brightest self-selecting out of applying for the Southern District.
— AABANY (@aabany)
Rebecca Tinio: Being able to be in charge of the cases on your docket is so empowering. I’ve really grown up as a lawyer.
