Asian American Arts Alliance, a non profit dedicated to strengthening the Asian American arts community here in NYC by providing platforms for artists to share resources, communicate, and nurture talent, is looking for an emerging or mid-career Asian American professional based in NYC.

Since 2011, the Alliance has administered the Wai Look Award for Outstanding Service in the Arts. This award is a tribute to the life and work of the late Alliance board member Wai Look, who dedicated her life to the arts and artist services as an administrator and volunteer.

The Wai Look Award submission process is by nomination. You may nominate a colleague, mentor/ mentee or yourself. This award is intended to recognize an emerging or mid-career Asian American professional with either at least five years of arts administration or whose profession is outside of the arts field but works to support the arts. The winner will receive a cash award of $500 and will be honored at the Alliance’s September gala.

The deadline for this award is Wednesday, August 10th, 11:59PM EST. Please find attached this year’s flyer. To learn more about the award and its past winners, please visit this link:
