On Wednesday, July 13, 2016, AABANY’s Career Placement Committee and Student Outreach Committee held “Getting On Track #7: Best Practices for Successful Interviews – Mock Interview Workshop” at the offices of RGP in Times Square. Approximately 40 people attended. In the first section, Jeff Ikejiri, Career Placement Committee Co-Chair, led a panel discussion with AABANY’s Executive Director Yang Chen, Robert Leung, Career Placement Committee Co-Chair and Partner, Boies Schiller & Flexner, and Irene Tan, Career Placement Committee Co-Chair and Associate Counsel at AIG, about topics such as preparation for successful interviews, answering difficult questions, and dos and don’ts during and after the interview. In the second section, each participant was paired with a volunteer interviewer (practicing attorneys from AABANY) and had an opportunity to fine tune his or her interview skills and to receive feedback.
