On November 15, 2016, the AABANY Real Estate, Solo & Small Firm Practice, and Asia Practice Committees hosted a CLE at the Omni Building in Uniondale, Long Island.  The topic was EB-5 & Foreign Investor: Aspects of Due Diligence When Representing a Foreign Real Estate Investor. The event was attended by over 40 Attorneys and Realtors.

James Thanasules, Chief NYS Counsel at Amtrust Title Insurance Company, discussed the latest FINCEN US Regulations and its application to the larger real estate purchases in the metropolitan area. Margaret Ling, AABANY’s Co-Chair of both the Real Estate and the Asia Practice Committees, addressed the due diligence required when attorneys represent a foreign real estate investor.
