On February 21, AABANY’s Litigation Committee and the Chinese Business Lawyer’s Association (CBLA) hosted, at the offices of Dorsey & Whitney LLP, a CLE entitled “Litigation Funding: Past, Present and Future.” Attendees heard from a distinguished panel of speakers comprising Patrick Dempsey and Eric Blinderman of Therium Inc., Vince Chang of Wollmuth Maher & Deutsch LLP, Carrie Tendler of Kobre & Kim LLP, and Michael McDonald of Morning Investments Consulting. The session was highly interactive, with members of the audience actively contributing to the discussion through questions on topics such as the future of litigation finance, the business models used in the industry, and the qualities of successful litigation funders.

After the panel presentation, attendees had the chance to network over drinks and light fare with other attendees and members of the panel. Many thanks to all who came and to the speakers for lending their expertise and knowledge to the event. The program provided 1.0 credits in ethics and professionalism.
