AABANY members, including Dwight Yoo (President), James Cho (President-Elect), and Jung Choi (Board member), pictured above (top), joined more than 300 other participants at the Northeast Regional Conference of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association in Philadelphia held on September 9. AABANY members participated in numerous panel discussions, including James Cho, who gave an overview of the rules of professional conduct on a legal ethics panel; Song Kim, AABANY’s Issues Committee co-chair, who discussed the plight of human trafficking (see bottom photo above); Vinoo Varghese, who talked about the latest developments in criminal justice reform; JoonBeom Pae, co-chair of AABANY’s Tax Committee, who talked about the Trump Administration’s tax policies; and Theo Cheng and Sandra Leung, who talked about the advancement and promotional challenges facing Asian Americans in the law.
