Justice Doris Ling-Cohan, Appellate Term, First Department received the Ally Award from NAACP Mid-Manhattan Branch’s LGBTQ Committee at NAACP’s LGBTQ Pride Ceremony, on June 20, 2018, which was held at Our Children’s Foundation on West 125th Street. The Committee recognized Justice Ling-Cohan, a lifetime member of the NAACP, for her outstanding public service and devotion to the interests of the community. Among this year’s other honorees was Alphonso B. David, Counsel to the Governor (who was honored by AABANY at the 2018 Annual Dinner). Pictured in the photo with Justice Ling-Cohan is Dr. Hazel N. Dukes, President of the NAACP New York State Conference and a member of the NAACP National Board of Directors, a member of the NAACP Executive Committee and an active member of various NAACP board sub-committees.
