On Wednesday, June 20, the Membership Committee, together with the Military and Veteran Affairs Committee, hosted the second of its Monthly Membership Happy Hours, this time at Ichi Cellar. Over a delicious and ample spread, including gyoza, sushi and chicken wings, attendees met, networked and got to know each other over drinks. William Smith, Veterans Benefit Advisor for the New York State Division of Veterans’ Affairs, addressed the audience to inform them about the many resources that the State of New York makes available to all veterans.

Military and Veterans Affairs Committee Co-Chairs Sung Hwang and Jimmy Kang were in attendance, along with President James Cho and President-Elect Brian Song. Brian currently serves in the U.S. Army Reserve and also serves as a Defense Appellate counsel for the Defense Appellate Division, U.S. Army Legal Services Agency. Sung is an officer in the U.S. Army Reserve and previously served with the New York Army National Guard. Jimmy served in the U.S. Army.
