From AABANY’s press release issued on Sept. 6 regarding the Monthly Pro Bono Clinic moving to a new location:
The Asian American Bar Association of New York (“AABANY”) is proud to announce that it is continuing its pro bono legal clinic in partnership with the Chinese Chamber of Commerce of New York, Inc. (“CCCNY”) at a larger new location at 3 Bowery Street in New York City to accommodate the ever-increasing number of community members who have been coming to the clinic each month. Our monthly pro bono clinics have regularly drawn 30 to 40 community members each month seeking legal advice and referrals. At least 10 lawyers and interpreters have also regularly volunteered at these clinics each month to provide much-needed legal assistance for vulnerable Asian Americans. The legal volunteers have provided legal advice and assistance in a range of matters, including family law, housing law, and immigration law.
