Contribute to the Queens Book Festival: A Borough Without Borders!
The book festival is a non-profit organization with a fiscal sponsor. Any contribution that is made to the Queens Book Festival on August 7, 2016 is tax deductible. Click here to learn more about the event itself.
The Queens Book Festival has celebrity authors and literary luminaries confirmed for the festival including several Asian-American authors such as Patricia Park, Eugene Lim, Cheryl Lu-Lien Tan, Colin Goh, Gina Apostol, Jaeil Cho, Connie Trang, Pauline Park, HW Vivian, Mia Alvar, and former Queens Poet Laureate Paolo Javier. They also have a complete children’s area full of readings and activities. Pix 11 News will air a story on any company, associations, or individuals who assist us in reaching the direly needed $10,000.
They have an expected audience of 10,000 which includes an adult population with an enormous buying power. They also have a special VIP event the day prior to the festival which will include celebrity authors, local luminaries, elected officials, and other dignitaries. The festival is a great opportunity to capture a wide Queens audience full of potential future clients. The festival was chosen by the Mayor’s Office of Media & Entertainment as a partner organization whose event will commemorate the office’s 50th anniversary. MOME’s 50th anniversary initiatives and events all share the common theme of inclusion.
Please share this information with anyone within your network (real estate, banking, other firms, associations) who would be able to help make the festival happen. They are days away from the festival and welcome any monetary donations and assistance. Contact Executive Director Johanne Civil directly at [email protected].
Thank you for your time, contribution, and support to what will surely be an amazing event elevating literacy and the literary community of Queens!
