On Wednesday, October 9th, AABANY’s Judiciary Committee sponsored a federal clerkships information session at the E.D.N.Y. courthouse where a distinguished panel of judges and current/former law clerks gave their perspectives on the roles and responsibilities of federal law clerks, the application process, and the benefits of doing a clerkship.
On the panel were District Judge Lorna G. Schofield (S.D.N.Y.), Magistrate Judge Marilyn D. Go (E.D.N.Y.), Manisha Sheth (Partner, Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP), and Chris Lapinig (Law Clerk, Circuit Judge Denny Chin). The panel was moderated by Theo Cheng (Partner, Fox Horan & Camerini LLP), co-chair of the Judiciary Committee. Attendees received handouts prepared by AABANY on insights from judges and law clerks about the clerkship experience and application process along with suggested judicial clerkship research tools.
AABANY thanks all the panelists for donating their time and knowledge to make this information session a success.
