On July 14, Executive Director Yang Chen led the ABA’s National Dialogue for Solo and Small Firm Lawyers at Thomson Hall. The National Dialogue was a unique forum where solo and small firm lawyers, along with state and local bar leadership, discussed the common needs, challenges and concerns of this largest segment of practicing attorneys. The National Dialogue was part of the ABA’s “You Reimagined: Big Firm to Small Firm – It’s All About You!,” co-sponsored by AABANY and the New York State Bar Association.

The program was organized by the ABA GPSolo Division, chaired by Amy Lin Meyerson (and past president of NAPABA). Alex Lee, NAPABA VP of Finance and Development, himself a solo practitioner, was also in attendance. Tsui Yee, Co-Chair of AABANY’s and NYCLA’s Solo and Small Firm Practice Committees, joined the National Dialogue and offered some of her ideas and views as a small firm practitioner.

After the program’s conclusion, Alex, Amy and Yang headed to lunch at Peking Duck House in Chinatown. Thanks to Alex Lee for the photos!
