The Brooklyn branch of the Chinese-American Planning Council, Inc. (“CPC”) celebrated its 36th anniversary with a dinner gala last Thursday night, October 22. Many distinguished guests attended, including the Brooklyn DA’s office, city council members, and state assembly members.

This year the CPC Brooklyn Branch celebrated three honorees who helped fulfill the organization’s mission of serving the Chinese-American, immigrant, and low-income communities in New York City.

One of the honorees was our very own AABANY Board director Pauline Yeung-Ha of Grimaldi & Yeung LLP. She was presented the award by AABANY past president Pui Chi Cheng. Pauline had her entire family with her as she gave her speech. Pauline embodied the CPC spirit during her speech when she stated the importance of helping others whether or not one is paid for it.

The event was a great success. All the guests were well fed by the 12 course banquet and a few were lucky enough to win raffle prizes. The night ended with everyone in a joyous mood and looking forward to next year’s event celebrating CPC Brooklyn’s continued good work within the community.

Please join AABANY in congratulating Pauline on her well-deserved recognition.

Thank you to Dave Lu, AABANY member and Real Estate Committee member, for the summary and photos.
