There is no greater joy than to meet other lawyers and not talk about the law. At the kick-off happy hour of the Labor and Employment Law (LEL) Committee held on Tuesday July 19 in downtown Manhattan, at Manhattan Proper, lawyers in the field of LEL and those aspiring to enter connected personally as people. In this atmosphere of community, the co-chairs informed attendees about upcoming programs and the goals of the LEL Committee – to help each other become exceptional LEL lawyers and to give back to our communities.

In attendance were Co-Chairs Joane Wong, David Mou and Bryan An (pictured above, second photo from the bottom). Chris Kwok, immediate past co-chair, also showed up, rocking a very summery Hawaiian shirt. Membership Director Tristan Loanzon and Executive Director Yang Chen dropped in on the festivities, with Tristan staying well into the night. In fact the group photo immediately above was taken at around 10 pm, three hours after the event started.

Joane, David and Bryan look forward to a year of growth and community-building.
