On May 9, AABANY co-sponsored a screening of “Kicking Glass: From the Courtroom to the Boardroom” at Fried Frank in celebration of APA Heritage Month. The video updates the original “Kicking Glass” which was made for the 1995 NAPABA National Convention and explores the strides made by APA women attorneys in the profession, then and now. Fried Frank attorneys and guests watched the video in New York and DC.

Following the screening, AABANY VP of Programs and Operations Naf Kwun moderated a discussion with Hon. Doris Ling-Cohan and Judiciary Committee Co-Chair and Past President Linda Lin. They covered in greater depth some of the themes and issues touched upon in the film, such as work-life balance, not self-selecting out from one’s career, and the role of networking and mentorship in career advancement.
