On Wednesday, June 28, the AABANY Real Estate Committee and the Solo & Small Firm Practice Committee co-hosted the CLE program “Don’t Sign the Contracts Yet! Due Diligence and Residential Real Estate Contracts” at the Flushing Bank’s Brooklyn Branch.
AABANY Real Estate Committee Co-Chair Margaret Ling (Senior Underwriting Counsel for New York Title Services) and Solo & Small Firm Practice Committee Co-Chair David Lu (Associate Attorney for Seiden Schein LLP) spoke on best practices for conducting due diligence in real estate transactions. In light of increased demand for real estate investments from foreign buyers, Margaret and David gave insightful advice on minimizing liability for attorneys and realtors, based on their experience and years of practice.
We thank Flushing Bank and its staff for hosting the CLE panel for the evening. Attendees received 0.5 CLE credits in Areas of Professional Practice and 0.5 CLE credits in Ethics and Professionalism. The credits were free for AABANY members. Thanks also to the speakers and all the attendees.
