Members know that one of AABANY’s best benefits is our New York-accredited CLE programs, which are free or deeply discounted versus what are available elsewhere. What you may not know is that you may use our credit earned in New York to satisfy your New Jersey bar requirements at the same time on a 1 to 1 credit hour reciprocal basis. (NJ BOLE Reg. 201:4) There are a few exceptions: attorneys in their first year in NJ have to take 5 courses out of 9 New Jersey-specific topics that we do not offer, and attorney presenters that earn triple credit in New York only count for double credit in New Jersey.
