Thanks to all the volunteers from AABANY who took part in the CUNY Citizenship Now! event at John Jay College on Saturday, May 19.  They were among the 180+ volunteers who helped 400+ immigrants apply for citizenship that day.  This was the biggest Citizenship Now! day ever, and AABANY was proud to be a co-sponsor along with American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), the Legal Aid Society, the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO), the Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs, Goya Foods, Catholic Migration Services, the New Americans Collaboration, and John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
