On April 17, AABANY co-sponsored with JAMS a CLE on Effective Techniques in Mediation Advocacy, at the JAMS offices in the New York Times building. Hon. Doris Ling-Cohan (center) introduced the moderator, Hon. Ariel Belen, formerly of the Second Department, Appellate Division (second from r.). On the panel were (from l. to r.) Theo Cheng, Lynnette Sarno and H.Q. Nguyen. The panelists discussed preparing cases for mediation and best practices for effective case presentation, including overcoming impasse. Attendees received 1.5 skills credits and AABANY members attended for free. A reception followed the CLE program.
