Columbia University’s Asian American Alliance Presents cultureSHOCK 2013: SURGE

Date: Saturday, November 16th, 2013

Time: Doors open and dinner will be served at 6:30 PM, show starts at 7 PM

Location: Roone Arledge Auditorium, Lerner Hall, Columbia University

Columbia University Asian American Alliance is proud to bring back our annual charity performance showcase: cultureSHOCK! This year, our theme is SURGE: a surge occurs when the few join with the many, coming together in solidarity for a common goal. We hope to celebrate the increasing visibility of Asian American talent, to recognize the challenges we still face, and to encourage students to build upon this surging momentum to make meaningful impacts in their communities. All proceeds will be donated to the Coalition for Asian American Children and Families (CACF). Check them out here!

We have a line up of amazing outside performers/speakers:

Awkwafina | Bea Go | Michelle Myers (Yellow Rage) | Wong Fu Productions

And featuring talented Columbia student performers:

Raw Elementz | CU Generation | Raas | Malama Hawaii | String Theory

The event will include FREE DINNER, many snacks and drinks from our generous sponsors, giveaways, a raffle with chances to win free t-shirts, restaurant gift cards, and attending a Meet & Greet with Wong Fu Productions.

Also, don’t miss out on AFTERSHOCK: the official afterparty!
