The contest is open to all CUNY andSUNYCommunity College students registered for the Fall Semester of 2013 or the Spring Semester of 2014.
***Entries will be accepted startingDecember 13, 2013 through April 1, 2014.
Questions on which students can focus their essays, contest rules and resources including news, videos, academic articles and legal references are available on the website of The Historical Society of the New York Courts.
A panel of members of the New York Bench and Bar will select the winning essays, and prizes will be awarded as follows:
– NYS Community CollegeGrand Prize, awarded to a student from either educational system:$1,500 – CUNY Community College Prize:$1,000 – SUNY Community College Prize:$1,000
