Touro College Graduate School of Social Work presents: “The Asian American Community: Confronting Critical Professional Challenges in Health and Human Services” on Thursday, December 11, 2014 from 5:30pm-8:00pm.
Guest speakers will present an interactive and dynamic panel presentation on critical issues facing Asian American professionals in health and human services. These include and are not limited to: language and cultural competence, workforce diversity, barriers and opportunities to professional development and career advancement. The event targets paraprofessionals, professionals, supervisors, and seasoned administrators who serve a large number of Asian Americans in health, mental health, and human service sectors.
