On May 1, AABANY was pleased and privileged to be part of a special screening of “Documented: A Film by an Undocumented American” at the Asia Society. The documentary was made by Jose Antonio Vargas, the Pulitzer Prize winning journalist who revealed in a 2011 essay in the New York Times Magazine that he was undocumented. This moving, powerful, poignant and thought-provoking film follows him in his public and personal struggle with the aftermath of his coming out as an undocumented American.
