On Sunday, May 21st, AABANY was at the annual Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month Celebration, “Celebrate as One,” from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm on Mott St. in Chinatown. The gorgeous spring weather provided the perfect opportunity to promote AABANY’s mission, and in particular, spread word about the monthly Pro Bono Clinic we hold in Chinatown every second Wednesday of the month.  We talked to well over 60 people who stopped by our table and we had a wonderful time meeting and hanging out with the APA community.

We thank Judy Lee, Samuel Lui, Beatrice Leong, Kevin Hsi and Chris M. Kwok for manning the table.  Francis Chin, Sally Woo, Pauline Yeung, and Rocky Chin also stopped by to say hello.

To learn more about the Pro Bono Clinic or to sign up as volunteer, contact Ariana at [email protected]. The next one is scheduled to take place on June 14 at the Chinese Chamber of Commerce office at Confucius Plaza.
